Upgrade of a 13km section of the Pacific Highway between Tyndale to Maclean, being constructed by BGC Contracting for Roads and Maritime Services NSW.

Stormwater drainage works are critical in a greenfields road construction project, ensuring natural waterways are maintained both during construction and in service. Drainage design for this section requires the installation of around 10km of stormwater pipes, ranging in size from DN375mm to DN1800mm.

Construction value for this section is $100 million, and consists of bulk earthworks, road and pavement construction as well as 15 bridges and finishing work.

Part of the larger Pacific Complete project to upgrade the Pacific Highway from Woolgoolga to Ballina ($4.3 billion, 155km of highway upgraded to 4 lane divided road, including 170 bridges to be built).
