GMK Logistics Warehouse

RCPA worked with TRN Group to provide a solution to the onsite Storm Water Detention needs on the GMK Logistics Warehouse site at Gregory Hills NSW. RCPA supplied and TRN Group installed a Multi-Cell 1,650 diameter pipes line as an alternative to a Humes Stormtrap System, the pipes were used as an underground tank to detain storm water on site.

Glenn Fordham (Director, General Manager Projects at TRN Group) chose the pipes as they eliminated the need to lay a concrete slab as a base. In total 120 pipes were used to create the three cell 100m long storm water detention system with the ends cast in-situ to complete the project.

Using the reinforced concrete pipes allowed for a cheaper initial cost and the speed of installation also saved on labour, equipment cost and eliminated the additional material costs for the base.
