RCPA Melton (2012/2013). Installation and commissioning of Pedershaab large dry cast machine to expand pipe production to 3000mm diameter, including plastic lined and jacking pipes. This also introduced a new product range i.e. box culverts up to 3000mm span. The plant is the first in Australia of this type capable of producing 3 or 4 sided culverts.
RCPA Kilmore (2012/13)had $750,000 spent on an upgrade and additional equipment to facilitate the production of Geopolymer concrete pipes (eCP). RCPA became the first pipe company to offer a product which had an 80% carbon footprint reduction.
Brisbane (2011/12.) Experimental systems designed and constructed for the development of eCP pipes. Brisbane was instrumental in achieving a successful curing regime.
Effective from 1 July 2009, RCP formally became RCPA – Reinforced Concrete Pipes Australia. RCPA has originated from the merger of RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipes) and APP (Australasian Pipeline and Pre-Cast) to form a new Australian owned concrete pipe company.
