The RCPA team were thrilled to see so many people at our launch event celebrating our newest innovation EKOPIPE utilising BX3 Technology. This product has been 15 years in the making due to our extensive research and testing. The launch took place on November 29th at the Elephant Pavilion in The Melbourne Zoo. This was the perfect setting as the Elephants’ characteristics such as strength, durability and longevity align with the characteristics of EKOPIPE. We also wish to address the elephant in the room, being that Portland Cement used to bind concrete, is energy intensive and contributes to 8% of global CO2 emissions. We saw this as an opportunity to develop a low-carbon concrete solution that maximises the reduction of embodied greenhouse gas emissions during manufacturing and will revolutionise the building industry.

It was wonderful to hear from the EGM Kevin Eeles, and share our excitement and passion for the launch of EKOPIPE with so many in attendance with representatives from the Victorian Department of Transport, Major Roads Projects Victoria, Local Council, State Government and many Infrastructure companies.

Among the highlights of the event were the Zoo Keepers who are directly in charge of the Elephant enclosure. They spoke about the recent birth of the two baby elephants at the zoo who are yet to be named. Let’s hope they name them EKOPIPE and BX3. We were thrilled to know that because we hosted our launch event at The Melbourne Zoo, we were contributing to the raising of funds that would make a real difference to their ongoing breeding programs.
